Skip Bins

Daily Waste Skip Bins are the perfect solution for those larger jobs. Whether it be a construction site or a residential home, we will deliver the bin on a day that suits you.

Payment required in advance and can be made via Credit / Debit Card, or Cash On Delivery is accepted.  Please note you must answer your phone or the bin may be diverted to another client.

You have the bin for 7 days including delivery day unless prearranged otherwise.   $35.00 per day over limit.  Unfortunately, no accounts unless authorized by management.

Skip Bin Rates Effective From 7 July 2022.   Recent price increases are due to the NZTES ( New Zealand Trading Emissions). The changes were included in councils Long Term Plan consultation process which has been public since April 2021.

Important notices regarding skip bins:

• We do not accept polystyrene in skip bins. If you require this to be removed please contact us to discuss.
• As of the 1st April 2003, the Local Body Council (LBD) require that any fridges or freezers be declared with the carrier and placed on top of the bin so that it can be seen.  These items will now carry a surcharge of $45.00 (inc GST) payable at the tip face. If you have these items and would like to place them in the skip bin, please add the surcharge on top of the prices quoted below and make sure they can be seen.
• Failure to declare any fridges, freezers, and/or polystyrene and/or deliberate ‘hiding’ will incur a minimum $90.00 (inc GST) fine at the tip face.
• No concrete, dirt, bricks, wet paint, tyres and polystyrene in the general waste skip. Please fill to the level
  of the skip levelled across the bin and no higher to ensure we abide by Transport laws.
• PLEASE NOTE THAT NO TYRE’S CAN GO INTO SKIP BINS AT ALL, THESE CAN BE RECYCLED AT TYRE CENTERS. 
• If any deliveries are deemed to be unsafe where the Client wants delivery or it is unable to be delivered where the client requires it there is a delivery / cancellation fee of between $85.00 to $100.00

These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice at our discretion.

Delivery:

We will endeavor to deliver your bin on your requested date, subject to availability, operational constraints. We do not work Public Holidays. Should your delivery be subject to change Daily Bin Hire will be in contact to advise. Once skip bin has been placed this is not to be moved by any other means of transport failure to comply will result in you being liable to have the skip bin moved to a location that is acceptable to Daily Bin Hire at your own cost.

Hire:

Skip Bin hire is 1 to 7 days, including delivery day.  Should you require the skip longer this must be arranged by calling 043835692 at time of booking.  The hire charge after your 7 days is $35.00 per day. This is subject to availability.

Weight:

The quoted price is subject to the weight not exceeding the stated threshold. Excess weight over the stated threshold will result in additional charges being applied.  If the skip bin exceeds the weight limit allowance, there will be an extra additional charge calculated at $20.00 per 100kg plus GST. We will advise you once we have received the weight docket of your skip waste

Payment:

Will be made at the time of booking. The delivery will only be lodged once the payment has been confirmed.

Refunds:

Daily Bin Hire will refund full fees paid in respect of any ordered service not provided by us, provided you notify Daily Bin Hire of the request for refund within 5 working days of the scheduled service date.

Access:

You are responsible for providing free and suitable access for your skip hire. Driveway access must be clear of any obstructions (hanging branches etc). Please note a width of at least 3.5 metres is required for driveway access, failure to deliver at your place of instruction a service fee of $85.00 will be deducted from your refund. All skip bins ordered within Wellington area placed roadside must apply for a WCC permit. This is at drivers discretion and to meet worksafe conditions.

Use of Bins:

Not to place or allow to be placed in the bin any hazardous materials, liquids, explosives, toxic or dangerous substances including but not limited to asbestos, acids, solvents, minerals, grease, wet paint, liquid concrete, tyres, polystyrene. Do not fill the bin above the top of the sides or in such a way that may cause spillage of material from the bin either while stationary or in transit. Failure to comply may result in additional fees.

General waste bins must not contain any hardfill

Hardfill bins must not contain any general waste including greenery.

Removal:

You will provide Daily Bin Hire ease of access for collection of your skip bin.

Liability:

Daily Bin Hire’s liability for any claim, damages, loss or expense related to the supply of services is limited to the cost paid or payable by you for those services except where statute expressly requires otherwise.  These terms will be governed by New Zealand law and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand Courts.
