Skip Bin Hire Terms & Conditions

Subject to Change:

These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice at our discretion.

Delivery:

We will endeavour to deliver your bin on your requested date, subject to availability and operational constraints. Our drivers deliver skip bins between the hours of 6am and 4pm, no
specific timed delivery.

We do not work on Public Holidays and Sundays. Should your delivery be subject to change Daily Waste Bin Hire will be in contact as soon as possible to advise.

Once skip bin has been placed this is not to be moved by any other means of transport. Failure to comply will result in you being liable to have the skip bin moved to a location that is acceptable to Daily Waste Bin Hire at your own or Daily Waste skip bin additional call out fees.

Daily Waste skip bin hire reserves the right in any circumstances if delivery takes place on the day requested or the next day/s due to any unforeseen circumstances.

 

Hire:

Skip Bin hire is up to 1 to 7 days should you require the skip longer this must be arranged by calling 0800110098 at time of booking. During peak time trading we can’t grant any extensions. The hire charge after your 7-day hire is $20.00 per day and must be paid immediately via Credit or Debit Card for the booking to be extended.

 

Weight:

The quoted price is subject to the weight not exceeding the stated threshold. Excess weight over the stated threshold will result in additional charges being applied. You as the hirer agrees and confirm at the time of the booking that we have authority to charge you for the excess weight charges incurred. Contact will be made with the hirer to arrange payment after collection and disposal of the contents of the skip bin.

Excess weight charge and other charges: 

Any bin over the weight allowance will be charged $30.00 per 100kg plus GST.

 

Payment:

Payment must be made in full at the time of booking. The delivery will only be lodged once the payment has been confirmed and paid.

 

Refunds:

Daily Waste Bin Hire will refund full fees paid in respect of any ordered service not provided by Daily Waste, providing you notify Daily Waste Bin Hire of the request for refund within 5 working days of the scheduled service date. If a refund needs to be processed a 10% admin refunding and fees will be deducted from the total.

Late delivery does not automatically entitle the hirer to cancel an order to obtain a refund.

 

Access:

You are responsible for providing all information relating to delivery of the skip bin on the delivery site. This includes suitable clear access, turns and any other delivery details for the skip bin delivery driver.

Driveway access must be clear of any obstructions (hanging branches, cars parked etc). Site access has a minimum width of at least 3.5 metres required for driveway access at all points of the driveway for the trucks to deliver the skip bin.

If upon delivery that our driver confirms non-delivery due to any  obstructions will incur an additional service call out fee will be charged.

If the skip is to be placed anywhere outside of your property (Berm, Roadside, Residential Parking space) this requires a Permit from your local council. Please see below for where to apply. 

Please note that this can take up to 5 days to approve.

 

We cannot put skip bins on grass or berms as this is a hazard for the public and our driver delivering and picking up the skip bin. If that is the only option you must be aware that if the bin does get stuck there will be a charge of $15.00 per day until the bin has been cleared.

 

To streamline billing and ensure uninterrupted service, this agreement grants authorisation to charge the customer’s credit card for any usage exceeding the allocated allowance immediately. Customers will receive prior notification before any charges are applied. The same terms apply to online payments and by proceeding, you the client agrees to these terms and conditions.

Dispute resolution procedures will be outlined to address any concerns regarding billing discrepancies.

Dispute resolution procedure:

If you do not agree with charges that have been made you can
email your concerns to office@dailywaste.co.nz and the dispute will be investigated with the owners and we will work with clients to resolve any concerns.

 

Use of Bins:

NO hazardous materials, liquids, explosives, toxic or dangerous substances including but not limited to asbestos, acids, solvents,  minerals, grease, wet paint, liquid, concrete, tyres, bricks and polystyrene in the skip bins.

Fill only to the top of the sides of the bin, NO higher. The driver has the right to remove any excess filled above the bin line and/or remove any of the above hazardous items. Any loose bits must be secured in such a way to avoid spillage of material from the bin either while in stationary or in transit. Failure to comply may result in additional fees.

Cleanfill/Hardfill bins must only contain concrete OR dirt OR bricks. All loads are to be separated into categories as per below:

• Concrete
• Asphalt
• Cleanfill
• Demo

NO other waste, or greenery no exceptions. Failure to comply will result in additional fees.

From 1 July 2022 we are required to meet the Tips obligations under Part 3 of the Waste Minimisation Act 2008 (The Act) and the Waste Minimisation Regulations 2009 (calculation and payment of waste disposal levy).

The purpose of the Act is to encourage waste minimisation and a decrease in waste disposal to:

— Protect the environment from harm
— Provide environmental, social, economic, and cultural benefits

The purpose of the Levy is to:

— Raise revenue to promote and achieve waste minimisation
— Increase the cost of waste disposal to recognise that disposal imposes  costs on the environmental, social, economic, and cultural benefits

Removal:

You will provide Daily Waste Bin Hire ease of access for collection of your skip bin.  Skip bin removal can take place on the day requested between the hours of 6am up until 4pm. We do not book in specific timed collections. Daily Waste skip bin hire has the right to collect on the next day/s due to any unforeseen circumstances.

 

Liability:

Daily Waste Bin Hire’s liability for any claim, damages, loss or expense related to the supply of services is limited to the cost paid or payable by you for those services except where statute expressly requires otherwise. These terms will be governed by New Zealand law and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
